If you want to work for a great company and have the opportunity to delight our customers, then join us in making Amazon history!We are seeking a dynamic, analytical and organized Ground Support Equipment (GSE) and Unit Load Device (ULD) Regional Maintenance Manager to join Amazon Air's GSE and ULD Program Management Team, in the Global Fleet & Aviation Sourcing team.
The position will be reporting to the Head of GSE and ULD Program Manager and will be based in San Bernardino, CA.
The primary responsibility is to maximize equipment uptime, execute equipment maintenance and projects in a fast-paced, dynamic work environment.
The successful candidate will be a highly experienced subject matter expert in GSE, ULD or automotive maintenance, workplace safety, data driven management and leadership.
A background in GSE and ULD systems/applications, complex inventory and spare parts management, distribution processes and storage systems is a plus.
The candidate must be a self-starter, possessing the ability to manage multiple complex projects and tasks simultaneously as well as be able to influence, and develop relationships at all organization levels.
The candidate must be capable of working with and managing relationships with outside contractors and overseeing the GSE and ULD maintenance program with the ability to raise the bar through questioning processes and auditing maintenance practices.
The candidate must also oversee the maintenance aspect around organizational large-scale, complex projects as well as defining business-relevant key performance indicators (KPIs), service level agreements (SLAs) and implementing a program to drive success.
Moreover, this individual will need to be adept at providing technical leadership and mentoring to GSE and ULD maintenance leadership to both internal and external stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities include:
Mentor and coach field-based Amazon's associates on GSE and ULD operations and maintenance Help manage vendor support and equipment relationships and leverage Amazon's network size to maximize economies of scale.
Direct the GSE fleet and facility asset optimization through effective asset management, leveraging CMMS software to provide visibility to all pertinent parties.
Drive GSE and ULD Maintenance Best Practices:
Innovate, document, improve work methods, standardize, provide a safe work environment and require safe work practices, train, commission equipment, collect, measure, and analyze key performance indicators to improve processes and improve Amazon customers experience.
Oversee GSE and ULD deployment based on mission requirements, aircraft effectiveness, and station modeling methodologies, equipment capabilities and environmental & federal / local governance.
Support the Amazon Air operations team by working in a safe, customer-focused manner; and must be highly self-motivated and customer centric.
Develop and design innovative solutions to difficult problems, manage outside contractors and be on call for emergencies and ensuring contingency and escalation plans are regularly reviewed with Site General Managers.
Handle multiple internal and externally sponsored projects and daily activities, manage to and meet deadlines, and develop & track plans on how to accomplish departmental and distribution goals.
Work with local site Safety department leadership to understand, implement, and audit safety programs.
Ensure that all safety programs and procedures are followed.
Develop and maintain preventative maintenance programs and good working relationships with operations leadership.
Facilitate technical and safety training, as well as help to develop professional development of departmental facilities associates.
Mentor all GSE and ULD maintenance staff by motivating and providing direction to help them achieve their goals and make a consistent effort to go above and beyond.
Work with Amazon Finance team to develop, set and track budgets as well as manage contractual documents, RFPs, change order controls, purchase orders and invoicing.
Participate in and support efficiency improvement Kaizen activities for the site, as well as the network when needed.
Develop capital spending plans, facilitate cross-functional project planning and perform cost analysis.
Own and promote excellent housekeeping.
Participate in weekly network GSE and ULD Maintenance calls and periodic GSE and ULD Maintenance Manager off-site conferences with Equipment OEMs or GSE related organizations with Amazon or with vendors.
Define clear goals, objectives, expectations and standards for the GSE and ULD maintenance program as well as for operations management as it relates to the maintenance program.
Provides regular communication to all parties on performance metrics to customers relative to:
In Service Rates, Compliance to SLAs, Execution of Defined Station Specific Work and User Data relative to damage & cost.
Provide specific, enriched feedback to enhance site performance.
Define and track key metrics to drive business and financial success.
Ability to travel up to 75%.
Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
