Logistics Management Specialist

This position serves as an Inter-agency Assistant Dispatch Center Manager. Assists the Center Manager in the oversight of all dispatch center operations and provides leadership to employees of the agencies represented at the center. Duties may include, but are not limited to, the following:
Establishes priorities, allocates resources, and supervises the mobilization, demobilization, and reassignment of wildland fire suppression resources. Monitors incident and administrative intelligence (e.g., fuels, weather, resource status, and reporting) to ensure the effectiveness and efficiency of dispatch center decisions. Provides leadership in support of inter-agency resource management activities including; coordinating aircraft, flight following, law enforcement assistance, search and rescue coordination and all other administrative/all-hazard activities according to policies. Coordinates and assures communication systems are operable. Responsible for the cost effective management of the center by controlling the expenditure of funds and maintaining necessary funding and property records. Participates in multi-agency fire management planning and assures on-going emergency response preparedness Assists with the administration, integration, and oversight of the use of telecommunication equipment Instructs crew-members in specific tasks and techniques, on-the-job training, distributes work assignments among employees, assures timely accomplishment of assigned tasks. //www.ifpm.nifc.gov/. Expanded Dispatcher Support Dispatch (EDSD). You must submit your Incident Qualification and Certification System (IQCS) Master Record or other equivalent documentation which verifies you meet the required qualifications for this IFPM position. Failure to provide this documentation by the closing date of the announcement will result in you being rated as not qualified. 90 Days of Wild Land Firefighting Experience. The Department of the Interior defines wild land firefighting experience as any non-structure fire that occurs in the wild land. Wild land firefighting experience is gained through work on the fireline in containment, control, suppression or use of wild land fire. This experience can be met by serving in a temporary, seasonal, or equivalent private sector fire position for no less than 90 days. Wild land fires are categorized into two distinct types:
(1) Wildfires - unplanned ignitions or prescribed fires that are declared wildfires; and (2) Prescribed Fires - planned ignitions. This description includes only fireline experience on a Prescribed Fire; it does not include experience in the planning stages. Prescribed fire experience must be supplemented by fire suppression experience in order to be creditable as previous wild land firefighting experience. Specialized
Experience:
One year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-07 grade level. Examples of specialized experience; performed dispatch duties such as coordinating ground and air transportation and determining the nature of the resources needed including personnel, equipment, and services required to respond to varying levels of crisis; assisted in preparing cost and budgetary data for comparative analysis, flight justification, and payment documents, assisted in implementing and maintaining mobilization plans, emergency and disaster plans, and dispatch policies and procedures and assisted in evaluating and coordinating operational situations to ensure the distribution of adequate resources. OR master's or equivalent graduate degree or 2 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree. OR A combination of education and specialized experience. You must meet all qualification requirements within 30 days of the closing date of the announcement. Federal employees in the competitive service are also subject to the Time-In-Grade requirement in accordance with 5 CFR 300.604. If you are a current Federal employee in the General Schedule (GS) pay plan and applying for a promotion opportunity, you must have completed a minimum of 52 weeks at the next lower grade level in the normal line of progression for the position being filled.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
