ATS Program Manager, Fleet

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated leader to manage the maintenance activities of Amazon's growing transportation fleet.
The Fleet Maintenance Supervisor is a new role that will focus on maximizing the value and utilization of transporation assets over their lifecycle.
Responsibilities will include maintenance planning, decision making about when repairs and maintenance activities are required, managing third party onsite and offsite repair execution, and maximizing equipment uptime.
An ideal candidate brings a background in managing maintenance cost and equipment ownership, with experience establishing professional relationships with vendors and operation management teams, driving improvement, holding vendors accountable for quality and cost, and achieving organizational targets.
This job will require exceptional communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work independently.
Fleet Maintenance Supervisors are part of the Amazon Transportation Services Fleet team and will report to a Fleet Maintenance Regional Manager through either direct or dotted reporting lines.
Supervisors in their designated Fulfillment/Sort center cluster will physically assess the equipment onsite and balance the unscheduled repairs against the lifecycle health of the asset.
Supervisors will control the demand of all unscheduled maintenance by knowing the acceptable levels of equipment health.
Effective vendor management will be a critical aspect of daily operations as there will be multiple vendors operating within the Fulfillment/Sort center cluster.
Supervisors will be sensitive to the facility and ultimately our customer.
Other responsibilities associated with this role will include:
Manage equipment within an Fulfillment/Sort center cluster, including inspecting equipment, creating repair requests, monitoring repair execution, cost control and budgeting, ensuring on-time preventive maintenance, managing campaigns and recalls, and maintaining unit history (e.
g.
, for washes, warranties, registrations) Maintain relationships and oversight of vendors permitted to work on Amazon equipment and drive vendor adherence to service level agreements Provide documentation support to ensure DOT compliance; stay aware of maintenance requirements Contribute to team efforts by recommending process improvements Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending and participating in trainingA successful candidate will also demonstrate the ability to work with cross-functional teams.
He or she will bring analytic skills and use data to drive decisions, effectively communicating insights to others in the organization.
The area of responsibility may consist of multiple sites, and travel will be required in the area responsibility.
