We are currently seeking a Billing Clerk responsible for preparing customer invoices through efficient entry of sales orders, bills of lading & pricing.
Process credit & re-bills.
Serve as a liaison for the sales team and customers, answering questions as needed.
Research and resolve invoicing issues timely and professionally.
Responsibilities:
Invoice company fuel purchases and sales through BOL entry into billing system.
Proactively research issues and/or missing items that could delay billing.
Work closely with the Sales team to apply appropriate costing.
Develop and apply understanding of different fuel / product types and related billing differences.
Develop and apply understanding proper fuel tax parameters and where this applies to certain sales and purchases.
Support of answering inbound calls and managing the retail fuel customer window.
Serve as backup to other members of the billing team.
Provide support to monthly accounting close as assigned.
Other duties and special projects as assigned.
Qualifications/Requirements:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
High School Diploma or equivalent.
At least two years of administrative or accounting experience required.
Basic math skills.
Basic understanding of accounting.
Excellent communication skills are required at all levels, both up and down the chain of command.
Strong time management skills, ability to handle multiple tasks and have attention to detail.
Teachable & works well with others.
Functional computer skills; MS Office, Word, Excel and Outlook.
10-key by touch is a must.
Prior fuel industry experience is a plus.
