Clinic Director Job Summary The Materials Manager will oversee the planning, procurement, storage, control, and distribution of materials and products according to the company needs and requirements.
Position Duties a) Directs inventory control, shipping and receiving, and materials storage.
b) Coordinates with vendors to procure materials and supplies.
c) Identify potential shortages and take action to mitigate them.
d) Maintains adequate inventory levels of all supplies.
e) Keeps all carts neat and supplies orderly and in labeled containers.
f) Maintains and ensures accuracy of the perpetual inventory system.
g) Oversees routine maintenance scheduling of equipment.
h) Identifies opportunities to negotiate pricing to reduce costs and charges.
i) Manages and monitors storage of purchased items.
j) Ensures all incoming shipments receipts have purchase order numbers.
k) Performs write-offs on damaged or obsolete inventory to reflect accurate value of inventory.
l) Monitors and tracks outdated supplies, returns, or destroys outdated supplies.
m) Establishes procedures for conducting year-end physical inventory.
a) Provide assistance to clinical staff, physicians, and anesthesia personnel as needed.
b) Position Duties may change at the discretion of the Clinic Director to meet the needs of Seven Oaks Surgery Center.
Position Characteristics Materials Manager must be able to think critically, make confident decisions in a fast-paced clinical environment, and communicate effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
Must present professional image; possess strong work ethic; be well organized; strong interpersonal communications skills; maintain the confidentiality of patient and employee information; must be detail oriented.
Excellent organizational and planning skills, verbal and written communication skills.
Proficient with inventory reporting systems as well as Microsoft Office Suite or similar software.
Education and Experience a) Surgical tech or related field required.
b) One year's experience in inventory management preferred.
c) Must be highly skilled in verbal communication, problem - solving, and organization.
Lifting Requirements This position requires potential heavy lifting of patients, pushing and pulling of equipment.
It also requires other repetitive motions (e.
g.
, bending, stooping, twisting, walking, standing, reaching overhead, pushing or pulling).
Manual dexterity is required, as is the ability to concentrate on detail in the midst of other activity.
